i have the english editions somewhere, but i dont remember reading that, the egotistical lebanese that i am, i wouldve showed up all my international friends when i was a kid (minus the ones from geneva, brussels, us, france, lol and all the other places he's been too, egypt :(, hehehe)
maybe its just in the french edition :p

actually that was when bush delegated tintin to demolish beirut with a nuclear bomb. not an authentic herge i should add.
