My father

Just to show the blogging world that i have the coolest most awesome father that EVER existed here are some excerpts from recent email correspondence:

Group email from A O'S (friend of mine) to friends and me in Iowa City: "hey guys let's meet at so and so place at 8PM in downtown to celebrate St Patrick's day"

sudden email reply from my father on the other side of Earth (who accidentally got an invite) to A O'S whom he does not know:

"sorry A but even the fastest supersonic jet would not get me there on time... otherwise I would have loved to join you. Rouba's dad. "

at which point A O'S agreed that he is the coolest indeed...

plus he is my middle east correspondent, my weather (and tornado) announcer, my Charles Trenet collector, my wine guide, my onion soup advisor, my Edward Said updater, and my favourite mathematician of all time.
