"cache" with daniel auteuil/juliette binoche
i love to watch daniel auteuil with his twisted nose and cooldom (he's definitely cooldom). the characters were complex and we get a glimpse of the french upper middle class intellectuals with the hidden nuances of racism and social segregation. the acting was wonderful but of course it was a slow movie so for those of you who don't enjoy watching a piece of bread make its way down someone's throat this movie's not for you. and if you want to understand the movie that you watch, again, this movie's not for you.
and i can't make tiramisu -sniff- because langues de chat are out of stock in the only place in iowa that sells them. and her explanation was that they're out of stock because suddenly everyone wanted to make tiramisu today. well you know what i think?? i think it's either a syrian or an israeli conspiracy. probably both actually.

Hands down the best movie of 2005, and Haneke's best since Code Unknown.
There's a nice discussion of the movie in this page:
