vintage present and past

back in business after a much needed "chilling" break..

i found these WW II propaganda posters which, in view of the current "Barbarian Invasions" as I call them, are both ironic and apt.

Enjoy.

the above one clearly was not a WW II poster, it's Truffaud's 400 Blows but the title and the vintage poster fit the current situation

and while we're at it, i wanted to share these:

Victory, Magritte

Tears, photo by Man Ray

i can't write - i'm blocked
i can't paint - i suck at it
i can't photograph - i'm not gonna take nice little pics of stl while my country's bleeding
i can't read - i've read my fill and articles are bringing more than their fair share of conflict
i can only express myself with the art of others right now - in these sad sad times that i'd much sooner than later want to become vintage.

and finally, there's a massive call for civilian action in lebanon, please visit this site.
